Edinburgh Sours
Whatever they're best know as e.g. sours, or fruited sours, or fruit forward beers, in the last 5 years these beers have risen from an underground sub-category of craft beer into the mainstream. If you take your refreshment seriously, nothing quite hits the spot like a sour.
Here we showcase sours from those Edinburgh breweries who have sours in their repertoire. Namely Barney's (who have been brewing sours long before they became cool). Pilot who's Peach Melba is probably the best selling sour in the capital, Cold Town and Vault City (who only brew sours and are a titan of the UK sour-scene. We also include the 2022 Heriot Watt Students of Brewing Sea Buckthorn WitBier as a one off - as frankly it's lovely.
